Position: Dispatcher
Location: White Bear Lake Schools Transportation Facility, Hugo, MN
Closing Date: 2/22/22 Applications will be reviewed upon submission. The position will close when a suitable candidate has been selected.
Salary Range/Hourly Rate: $24.52
Start Date: April 1, 2022
Work week: .80 FTE, 210 duty days a year
Position Summary:
Performs as a dispatcher, and related work as apparent as assigned. Book trips with drivers using appropriate software and methods; prints maps/trip tickets and confirms trips with drivers, schools and contractors. Checks drivers in and out of for each route via transportation assignments. Takes incoming phone calls and messages; relays information as needed to appropriate staff. Assists drivers and aides with their routes; print maps and directions, walks through bus stop issues, and issues keys. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Transportation.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED and considerable experience working in transportation logistics, working in pupil transport, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates/Technical degree preferred
Special Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license. Must be able to obtain school bus license.
